Superintendent

Mr. José A. Gallardo Virgen has proudly served the Golden Rule Schools community since 2009. Over the course of his career with the district, he has held a variety of leadership and instructional roles, including Bilingual Teacher, District Testing Coordinator, Director of Technology, Campus Principal, and now Superintendent. His commitment to educational excellence has been demonstrated through his focus on strengthening instruction, strategically integrating technology, and developing systems that support the success of both students and educators.
As Superintendent, Mr. Gallardo is committed to advancing a culture of educational excellence by ensuring that every student has access to engaging, high-quality learning experiences. His leadership is centered on preparing students with the knowledge, character, and confidence to succeed in an evolving world while making positive contributions to their communities. His leadership reflects the district's mission, "Educating Tomorrow's Servant Leaders, Today!", by emphasizing academic excellence, character development, service, and continuous growth.
Mr. Gallardo earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering and a Master of Science in Information Technologies from the University of Colima in Mexico. He also holds a Master of Education in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Gallardo enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Korina, and their daughters, Alma and Andrea. He is passionate about computer programming and exploring innovative ways to integrate technology into teaching and learning, reflecting his ongoing commitment to educational innovation.
