When Golden Rule Schools opened its doors in 2001, it was built on a simple but powerful belief: every student matters. Twenty five years later, that belief has grown exponentially: a network of five thriving, tuition-free public charter schools serving preschoolers through 8th grade across Dallas. This year, we’re not just celebrating a milestone, we’re celebrating a movement.
From One Classroom to Five Campuses
What started on Illinois Avenue as a single campus has expanded into five thriving locations, each one carrying the same mission: to create a safe, student-centered environment where every child is known by name and taught in the way they learn best.
Over the past 25 years, thousands of students have walked through Golden Rule's doors better prepared for the world ahead of them. Today, that growth is felt by the Dallas community and the numbers tell a story:
- Expanded from 1 to 5 campuses over the Dallas metro area
- PreK-8th grade with PreK3 and PreK4 programs available
- Intentionally small class sizes averaging just 16 students, so no child ever gets lost in the crowd
- 25+ years of caring teachers who know every student by name and by how they learn best
Full Circle Legacy
The impact at Golden Rule Schools runs deep, so deep that alumni students from GRS are now parents themselves, and they're choosing Golden Rule for their own children. These GRS alumni remember what it felt like to be seen, supported, and challenged. They remember the teachers who truly saw them, a school that welcomed their families with open arms, and a community that never stopped feeling like home.
